Kiss and Tell

This is one of my skateboards that I designed and created using markers and hearts. My personal theme was Kiss and Tell inspired by a song I liked during the time.

Abandoned Schoolyard

This is my 2-d abandoned schoolyard that I created using paint and pencil. I could only work with two colors so in order to create the various colors you see I had to mix colors

What fish would live like!

I created this 3-dimensional drawing using a ruler and a pencil. Some techniques I used were shading and obviously the 3-d appearance. This is my vision of how fish would live if they could create there own rooms or decorate their own tanks.

Floating on Water

I created these block prints by carving away at a substance much like cork board called linoleum. I then picked a color of ink spread it all around, put it through the press, and tah dah the ink was transfered onto  the paper. Finally I cut the block printed hibiscus flowers and glued them on!!!

Ohhh those Semi-Sunny Days

Snow Leopard

In order to create this scratchboard art I used a carving knife and carved away the black to show the white. To make it look like the leopard is furry I carved diagonally in both directions. This is the piece I am currently most proud of because I worked extremely hard on it.

What's New?

Since I last posted on my blog I have done a lot of cool art projects in my art class.I have created two shredding skateboards, many block prints of a traditional and tropical Hawaiian flower, created a room for a fish in 3-point perspective, among many other projects. My favorite project was the block print because I got to carve away at linoleum to create my endlessly amazing hibiscus flower! I printed and pressed it in every color of the rainbow and in the end displayed it as flower floating on a crystal lake. I also did book pages. In order to do this project I picked words of a book pages found inspiration from them and created and art piece on the book page with the words displayed. I did four of these and my favorite one was the one I got to splatter paint which represented the fun outgoing way of child play! Take a look at my art work and tell me what you think! I hope you like it! Until next time.... AVOIR!
